Graphius expands packaging division through acquisition of Rembrandt and Remmicom
Rembrandt Packaging and Remmicom Packaging from Aarschot are now part of the Ghent printing group Graphius. The latter is thus further expanding its range of packaging materials.
Graphius has long been committed to the packaging materials market through its Lowyck division in Ostend and Etiglia division in Beersel. "The acquisition is an important step for our organization and fits into the diversification strategy within our group," said Denis Geers, CEO of Graphius Group. Rembrandt Packaging and Remmicom Packaging will continue as separate entities led by Dirk Roosen. "We believe this transaction will leverage the further development of both companies," said Roosen. "Under the wings of Graphius, continuity for our customers and employees is assured in the long term and we can invest heavily in materials, people and training.
This with the aim of strengthening our position in the flat board market." Ghent-based Graphius dates back to 1928 and employs more than 600 people spread across Belgium, France and the United Kingdom.
