Rembrandt Labels & Packaging impresses at Drinktec

For the first time, Rembrandt Labels & Packaging participated in Drinktec, the leading trade show for the liquid food and beverage industry. Themes such as circularity, resource management, lifestyle and health took center stage, and Rembrandt Labels & Packaging clearly responded to these trends with their updated portfolio.

Rembrandt Labels showed how wetglue labels generate hardly any waste, just a small paper strap, compared to the siliconized, hard-to-recycle backing paper of self-adhesive labels. In addition, wetglue labels can be washed off in return-bottle washing lines, making an important contribution to circularity.

Previously, it was often said that wetglue labels would not be suitable for premium applications and would not be very functional. With their latest developments, Rembrandt Labels clearly showed that this is no longer the case. After all, for products within lifestyle and health, look and feel are crucial to immediately stand out in the store.

For example, labels with embossing were shown, sometimes combined with hotfoil, which gives premium products such as beer, wine and spirits a fancier look. For extra cachet, this can be combined with pearlescent paper. Strap-tags (cards with a wire around the neck of the bottle) and wrap-around paper for premium products were also popular.

Rembrandt additionally presented labels with printing on the back, ideal for transparent bottles. This allows marketers to display the logo on the back as well, maximizing marketing space.

In the area of label shape, Rembrandt showed beautiful die cuts for belly, back, neck and bracket labels. Creativity knows no bounds with wet glue labels. For bottles that are often placed in an ice bucket, Rembrandt developed "ice bucket proof" labels that do not slide or loosen on contact with ice water, so that the premium product remains intact during use.

For olive oil, mayonnaise and sauces, Rembrandt presented grease-repellent labels that retain their appearance even after contact with oil or grease.

In addition to labels, Rembrandt Packaging showed numerous cardboard applications that can often replace plastic packaging, which again ties in with circularity. They showed clips with small or large fronts for maximum shelf-awareness, beer baskets for 4 or 6 bottles, and gift boxes for bottles with one or more glasses. These can be in solid board or corrugated board preprint, achieving high print quality even on corrugated board.

To respond to changing lifestyle, Rembrandt Packaging also showed examples of high-gloss calander lacquer, more environmentally friendly than UV lacquer, whether or not combined with hotfoil.

Rembrandt Labels & Packaging is one of the few suppliers that combine wet glue labels with carton solutions. Knowing that both applications come together on the shelf provides a unique one-stop shop. That service is not limited to labels and cardboard, but also includes beer mats, beer mat holders, leaflets and books that tell your company's story. Even Rembrandt's exhibition stand, printed entirely on Reboard cardboard, was realized within Graphius Group. So Rembrandt Labels & Packaging can take care of your entire corporate identity, all from one source.
